For greatest accuracy, have someone else take your measurements, preferably a professional. Your bust measurement is the most important in determining your gown size.
99% of all gowns require some alterations for a perfect fit. No one has a perfect body. Not even professional models. I fyou order a custom made copy of your favorite gown, you will save money on alterations.
Most designer gowns can be let out at least 1-2" in each side seam and approximately 1" at the zipper too, so refer to each manufacturer's sizing charts. Wedding gowns that lace up in the back are super great for proper fit in the bodice and back areas..
All manufactures of wedding gowns cut the hollow to hem (throat to toe) at 58" and fit (without hem alteration) 5'8" to 6'. Taller than 6' should special order gowns.
DO NOT ASSUME BRIDAL/FORMALWEAR
IS BASED ON STREET SIZE CLOTHING!
Some dresses can be 3 sizes different.
Like your entire wedding, your gown makes a statement, reflecting your personality, your personal expression. Are you chic? Sophisticated? Classic? Sexy? Traditional? Avant garde? If you already know the manufacturer's name and style number, let Miracles search for the best possible price on the market.
Gown and bridesmaid dress sizes will seem unrealistic.
They are only numbers.
It is common to need 2 or even 3 dress sizes larger
than your street clothes.
